Generally home visits are reserved for housebound and terminally ill patients.
In the rare event that you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am.
Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery. The doctor can see around 3 to 4 patients in the surgery in the time it would take to carry out 1 home visit, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen if at all possible.
