RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) vaccination
Posted on:
RSV is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs. RSV infection often causes symptoms similar to a cold.
From 1 September 2024, those aged 75 to 79 will be eligible for a free vaccine to protect them from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). It will also be available to patients who are at least 28 weeks pregnant.
Eligible patients will be sent an invitation to book an appointment, or can book at reception. We will be running clinics from 4th September 2024 in surgery. Housebound patients will be contacted by the surgery.
As this is a new vaccine there is a useful information video available on this link
